The portraits I paint are always done from the photos you send me. Send me as many as you can as it is helpful when choosing the best photo for the portrait, however, I only work from the one photo chosen. If the portrait is to be of more than one pet I can compose the painting from single photos of each pet. Let me know if you have a favorite photo and I will let you know if it is suitable to work from. If you email them to me try to send them at the highest resolution possible. You can also mail them to me as prints or on a CD. I will return the prints to you along with the finished portrait. Before starting the portrait I will email you a few sketches of the portrait for your approval. You can email me at cadmium@nyc.rr.com with your requests or questions at anytime. I will try to get back to you within 24 hours.
The following prices are for one pet with the background of your choice. Each extra pet is an additional $65.00. Custom sizes are available on request for an additional $25.00.
8”x 10” - $275.00 9”x 12” - $300.00
11”x 14” - $350.00 14”x 18” - 400.00
16”x 20” - $500.00 18”x 24” - $600.00
I require a 50% nonrefundable deposit when I accept your commission and before starting the painting. Turnaround time depends on how many commissions I have and I generally have a waiting list of 2 to 4 months. Please let me know if you need the painting for a special occasion and I will try to accommodate you if possible. If you are interested in a portrait for Christmas I would suggest placing your order at least 6 months in advance if possible.
When I have completed the portrait I will send you a digital copy via email. You will then have the opportunity to accept the painting or suggest changes to be made. When these changes are complete I will again send you another digital photo via email for your approval. Upon acceptance I require the balance due after which I will send the painting to you. Professional packing and shipping charges will be addtitional. Payment can be made either by check or PayPal.
